Lavertezzo

Lavertezzo

The village itself is well-known for its two-arched bridge, the Ponte dei Salti, across the Verzasca Valley, which is sometimes wrongly referred to as a Roman bridge. It is a favourite bathing destination for those who love to take a dip in the river's green waters.

The village church is also well worth a visit. It dates from the 18th century and displays numerous typical baroque characteristics.

This village is also a starting point for interesting mountain walks up the side valleys of Pincascia, Carecchio, Agro and Orgnana.
