Mill and power plant in Frasco

Frasco

In the 19th century, the village of Frasco was a small craft centre for the upper valley. Until the flood of 1868, there was a sawmill, a limestone quarry with four furnaces, crushers for crushing walnuts, crushers for threshing hemp and flax and several cereal mills. Later, two still existing installations were built on the Efra river: the mill and the hydraulic power station. Today, thanks to restoration work, the mill is once again grinding maize flour for polenta. A visit to the mill allows you to immerse yourself in the ancient gestures of the miller. Polenta flour produced as in the past can be purchased.
