Description of the itinerary:
The excursion starts in San Bernardo (1028 masl), which you can reach by car or taking the Orselina-Cardada cable car (go out in the intermediary station Monte Brè/San Bernardo . From San Bernardo follow the path towards Cordonico and Giorledo, where there is a track for mountain bikers that starts in Val Resa (Resa Valley): please pay attention to the traffic! In Giorledo (1152 masl) turn left and climb in the direction of Chiodo, where the path forks: if you choose to go right climb in the direction of Alpe Cardada (Cardada Alp) and its resting points; if you choose to go left reach Colmanicchio (cable car station at 1332 masl). If you started the excursion in San Bernardo and whish to return, you can follow the way that leads to Morsello, Cortaccio and finally the church and village of San Bernado. From there you can also walk along the mule track that leads to Orselina.
Requested time: about 2 ½ hours (the round excursion + 45 min. for the descent from San Bernardo to Orselina)
