Bacterial Persistence and Antimicrobial Therapy.
Bacterial infections represent an increasingly urgent threat to human health worldwide with major pathogens being resistant to all available antibiotics. In addition to resistance, antibiotic therapy can fail to clear infections because of drug-tolerant bacteria that survive extensive exposure to therapeutic agents. This conference will bring together leading experts investigating the underlying mechanisms of antibiotic tolerance and microbial persistence.
