Pettit*Rochet
A choreographic exploration of strength and vulnerability.
In LIFT and in close collaboration with the dancers, choreographers Pettit*Rochet work on Fauré's Requiem to visit the act of carrying. A piece based on the idea of strength and vulnerability, on how these two seemingly contradictory states can coexist. By lifting a person, we can explore the idea of support, both in a physical and metaphorical sense. The dancers move from lift to lift, using their bodies to support and connect with each other. LIFT is a demanding, yet intimate and tender piece.

Ioannis Mandafounis
Created from the methodology of choreographer Ioannis Mandafounis and in close collaboration with the dancers, EN PETIT COMITÉ speaks to us about the function of the physical body, its use in the scenic space and the cohabitation of bodies. The emotional world of each dancer is added to their physical experience, thus activating the notion of affect in the dancer as well as in the audience. How can the distance between the dancer and the audience be reduced? How do we subvert that famous 4? theatrical wall? How do we create a piece with a human dimension? The audience becomes the witness of a piece, but also of the creative process that unveils itself before their eyes and why not thanks to them?
