With comedy, poetry and a penchant for absurdity, Frey and Bichsel devote themselves to the small and large disturbances of life.
They show how our firmly held views are repeatedly shaken by the confrontation with the other and the stranger, although we actually want to live an undisturbed existence. In the process, they unmask self-righteous reflexes and one begins to suspect that we are actually dependent on a counterpart who disturbs us from time to time. The two work with humor and thus combine the everyday concrete with the poetically absurd.
For their latest play, Ueli Bichsel and Anna Frey have not only shared the artistic direction, but are also on stage together for the first time in a full-length program.
