Anton Jablokov appears in Locarno for the first time with a programme combining Vivaldi, narration and beloved European melodies.
Programme
Anton Jablokov comes to Locarno for the first time with this project. At the centre is Antonio Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons in an innovative arrangement for quartet with two violins, cello and piano, accompanied by narration that introduces the work and its deeper meaning.
The performance highlights the link between music, images of nature and the explanatory sonnets published by Vivaldi. The result is a musical journey through spring, summer, autumn and winter, read as stages of human life.
Second part of the concert
The second part features some of Europe’s best-loved melodies, including Hava Nagila, Bella Ciao and the Hungarian Dances. The ensemble combines musical precision with strong stage presence.
