André Desponds “Piano à la carte”

Crossover between interpretation and improvisation.

Desponds has written down the titles of short piano pieces from a five-hour repertoire on slips of paper.

Before the concert begins, the audience is asked to draw 16 of them - thus establishing the program and the order. The transitions are improvised.
