Come la roccia, l'acqua, la neve

Northern Albania. A young woman becomes a burnesha, a sworn virgin, thus taking the place of the head of the family, according to the laws of the Kanun.
Southern Italy. Puglia. A girl decides to act on her own convictions, openly opposing the head of the family and the entire family.

Two irreversible decisions that mark a watershed between a before and an after. Two stories that we have picked like flowers from the traditional heritage of these two lands and that respond to each other as in a small anthology, a collection of flowers, to talk about two forces that still today seek harmony in their frequent conflict.

The masculine and the feminine are explored starting from the great mystery that unites and distinguishes them, and this is the main theme that runs through the show.
These women, strong as rock, capable of adapting or breaking down obstacles like water, of shining and then changing state like snow, invite us into their universe of stories that are apparently remote but in reality alive as archetypes of our contemporary existence.

As in the entire Trilogia del Sud Fantastico (Fantastic Southern Trilogy) presented by the Lumen Company, of which this work is the conclusion, the central theme remains the investigation of society's power over the individual, the gaze of others and self-affirmation, the coexistence of poetry and violence in our daily reality, the dimension of news that takes on the flavour of legend and, vice versa, of legend that turns out to be real.
