Duo Mandala - PoMeriggio Musica

On Sunday 22nd September, at 5:30 pm, the Duo Mandala composed of violinists Amanda Nesa and Donatella Gibboni will perform at the Church of Sant’Antonio in Arcegno. The proposed repertoire ranges from the 17th to the 20th century with works by Jean-Marie Leclair, Luigi Boccherini, Louis Spohr, George Friedrich Händerl and Sergei Prokofiev.
Donatella Gibboni began studying the violin at the age of 3 and graduated with honors at the age of 15 at the Martucci Conservatory in Salerno. She continued her studies at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia and subsequently at the Perosi and Stauffer Academies. She obtained a Master in Music Performance and a Master in Music Pedagogy at the Conservatory of Italian Switzerland. She has played in prestigious halls including Carnegie Hall in New York. Amanda Nesa began her career at the Conservatory of Italian Switzerland and continued her studies in Madrid, completing a Master in Performing Interpretation and Research. He has collaborated with the Casals quartet and has participated in numerous international festivals.å. He regularly plays in duo with pianist Nicolas Mottini.
