Hike and lunch at Rifugio alpe Fontana

On Sunday 24 September 2023, the Patriziato of Prato, in collaboration with our Association, proposes a convivial day during which it will be possible to enjoy a wonderful experience of traditions.

The programme includes

• excursion in company from the Froda (Valle di Prato) to the Rifugio alpe Fontana: meeting at 10:30 a.m. at the Froda;
• traditional lunch with products from the alp: 12:30 p.m;
• return in company with a visit to Alpe Campala and the building site for the new stable.

Registration:

compulsory for lunch: write to [email protected] or the Patriziato di Prato;
cost: CHF10 for lunch, excluding drinks.
In case of bad weather: activity postponed to Sunday 1 October 2023. Those registered will be informed.

Further information:

it is possible to go independently to the Refuge;
from Froda to the Refuge the hike takes approx. 1.5 hours;
from Prato (Vallemaggia) to the Froda the hike takes approx. 1 hour (total approx. 2.5-3 hours;
the Froda (above Predee) is also accessible by motor vehicles via the gravel alpine road. There is a car park at the end of the road;
on the day the brand new Refuge T-shirts will be on sale (CHF 20).
