L'ultimo Rebetiko: Un viaggio dalla Macedonia fino a Creta

Ascona

"L'ultimo Rebetiko" is a "song theatre" by and with Emanuele Apostolidis, a young writer and comic book author born in 1982 in Arzignano (VI): stories, anecdotes and memories of a son of Greek migrants, suspended between the weight of his past and the uncertainty of his present; a journey through the music and scents of Greek traditions, from Macedonia to Crete, from independence to the colonels, from Rebetiko to Laiko. The live music is mainly taken from the second album of the multi-ethnic group Safar Mazì, "Thalassa", the result of a project shared with the Kaixides Trio of Athens. Composed today of Fuad Ahmadvand, Paolo Forte, Mohammed Neffaa and Renato Tapino, Safar Mazì explores the repertoires of the Mediterranean up to the Middle East.
