Médée Kali

A theater show with the company Teatro Libero Palermo, and directed by Beno Mazzone.

Medea killed her children. Time has passed, but the idea that her children lie on Greek land is unbearable. She returns to her children’s tomb to take them away, and to complete her revenge. She realises then that she is being followed by a man she doesn't know. She is careful to never get too close to him, but he follows her doggedly. She enjoys his presence. She speaks to him. Will this stranger become her next lover or the fiercest of her enemies? She feels that he will soon be in her good graces, as he is handsome and because Medea has never been able to resist the beauty of men.

Written in 2003, Medea becomes, in Gaudé’s writing, the goddess of death, dance and love, and  renamed Medea Kali, with Indian origin, and backdrop of a new people.
