Caroline Marcacci Rossi - Burckhardt, has been painting impressions, encounters and reflections along the itinerary of her life for many years. Her painting is an almost documentary story about the injustices and suffering inflicted on the weakest of this world. In her oil-collages we find faces of people on the margins of society and also abandoned industrial corners of her hometown, New York.
In the watercolors she portrayed women and children in search of water in the driest and poorest areas of the world, but she also tried to capture the comforting beauty of the place where she lives.
