Since more than 20 years the festival „Note di primavera“ takes place in the beautiful church of San Martino at Ronco sopra Ascona. The village has a breath taking view over the Lago Maggiore and San Martino the perfect acoustics for chamber music. This year the opening concert will take place the 30th of april at 5 o‘clock pm. The solo cellist of the „Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie“, Jovan Pantelich, will be accompagnied by the reknown polish pianist Kasia Wiezcorek in a varied program featuring Beethoven, Poulenc, Piazzola and Lutoslavsky.

The famous trio with clarinet from J. Brahms is the main work in the second concert, saturday, 13.5. at 8:30 o‘clock pm. Paolo Beltramini, the solo clarinet player of the „Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana“ will join forces with his collegues Felix Vogelsang (cello) and Roberto Arosio (piano). Also on the program: The clarinet sonata by L.Bernstein and the cello sonata by C. Debussy. The third concert the 21.5. at 5 o‘clock pm will take the public to the world of the baroque: The two sopranos Lidia Basterretxea and Marina Malavasi will be accompagnied by Felix Vogelsang (baroque cello) and Giulio Mercati in three marvellous duos by the Italian composer Nicola Porpora. Three cello sonatas by A. Vivaldi will complete the program. The last concert the 28.5. at 5 o‘clock pm features one of the most famous Italian guitar duos: The Duo Pace/Poli Cappelli will play a varied program with works of Piazzola, Albeniz and Gangi.
