Event Information
On the occasion of the exhibition “Animals” at Galleria Sacchetti in Ascona, we are offering a course dedicated to various artistic techniques, held directly in the gallery spaces. The focus will be on the depiction of animals, accompanied by numerous basic exercises and an introduction to fundamental techniques.
28.02.2026
On Saturday we begin with free mark-making exercises, gradually moving toward drawing animals.
At the same time, we work with colored inks, which allow us to quickly add accents. In these exercises we focus on speed and sensitivity.
From the many sheets produced, we create collages. Suddenly we recognize animal faces and bodies in a patch of color or a combination of shapes: the images seem to emerge on their own, and our gaze into our personal universe of colors continuously reveals something new.
Together, we embark on a chromatic-animal journey.
01.03.2026
On Sunday we continue working on the theme of animals, this time choosing a detail from our many collages. This is transferred onto a wooden panel prepared with a marble-based ground and reinterpreted in free painting, in an enlarged format.
Here, color can also splash freely.
We also add accents in gold, copper, or silver.
Overnight stay is available at our B&B.
Breakfast and dinner are served in the restaurant and billed separately.
