The Dante Alighieri Society of Locarno invites to the event "Pasolini: educator and poet" with prof. Giacomo Jori, on February 27th at 6pm at the Palazzo dei Congressi in Muralto.
Pier Paolo Pasolini (1922-1975) is known as a great writer and director, among the greatest Italian intellectuals. An acute observer of the changes in Italian society, he harshly criticized bourgeois habits and consumerism, causing scandals and debates. But he was also a teacher, attentive to pedagogical innovations and the educational value of poetry.
Giacomo Jori is an extraordinary professor of Italian literature at the University of Italian Switzerland. He studies Italian literature and its classics, favoring the forms of poetry and religious literature, in the 16th-17th and 20th centuries; the literature of the Baroque age, and authors of the twentieth century. He is the author of the literary biographical essay "Pasolini", Einaudi, 2001.
