In 2026, Festeggiamo! once again brings selected films linked to the Locarno Film Festival to atmospheric locations across the Locarno region and valleys. In Vira-Gambarogno, the programme features Jane Campion's The Piano in the original English version with French subtitles.

Cinema under the stars

The fifth edition of Festeggiamo! once again brings the Piazza Grande cinema experience to several locations across the Locarno region and valleys. The programme includes The Piano by Jane Campion, shown in the original English version with French subtitles.

The series

This open-air film programme is organised by the municipalities of the region in collaboration with the Locarno Film Festival. It features eight titles selected by the Festival's artistic director Giona A. Nazzaro, all connected to outstanding women of cinema honoured during past editions of the festival.

• During the evening, one general pass for the 79th edition of the Locarno Film Festival will be drawn.
• Additional tickets will be raffled through online or radio contests.

The initiative is carried out in collaboration with Radio Ticino, Amici del Cinema del Gambarogno and Cinematografo Ambulante (Cinetour), with the support of regional partners and sponsors.
