VOGLJODL. THE BIRDS' YODEL. A HYMN TO THE LAST THINGS" BY THE KAPELLE SORELLE
The installation and performance showcases two eccentric outsiders who, in a chaotic and intriguing setting of stuffed birds, a record player and a greenhouse or basement environment, are playing their second chance at life: a new song, projected towards a universe full of hope. The public is invited to observe and be transported to a "world outside the world", far away from the fast-paced rhythm of our everyday lives, in an intimate performance (only 25 people are allowed per evening) that will see its true last song (finissage of the show) in Camedo at the end of April (see below).
Ursina Gregori and Charlotte Wittmer were educated at the Accademia Dimitri the late 1980s and have been performing in Switzerland, Germany and Austria for almost thirty years; in 2014 they took part in Circo Monti's 30th anniversary tour with the clown duo "Bonjour la vie". The set design for "Vogljodl" is by director and ornithologist Nils Torpus.
