You reach Verdasio by the Centovallina railway line (Locarno-Domodossola) or by car, then take the cable car to Monte Comino (operating from April to October), where our hike begins. Monte Comino is a very lively mountain: just beyond the mountain hotel Alla Capanna live the llamas of Lamatrekking Ticino, with whom you can take guided hikes on the mountain. The first stage of our hike leads to the oratory of Madonna della Segna, a very small church from 1450-1500. Continuing to walk, you reach the Pian Segna bog, a wetland area surrounded by woods. The white-red-white marked path leads to Alpe In di Mètri through a beech forest. A wide curve leads to the Riale di Mulitt, which must be crossed to take the beautiful panoramic path that with gentle ups and downs returns to Monte Comino. From here the cable car departs again to the Verdasio station, where you take the Centovallina again.
