Brissago-Pizzo Leone-Ronco sopra Ascona

The marked white-red-white trail starts from Brissago, reachable by bus or boat. The path leads through houses and streets to Gardero, where the hiking trail begins and immerses you in a splendid natural landscape. You pass a few hamlets and climb to Alpe di Naccio, a large, very green alpine pasture. On the Urione ridge, you head west and partially circle the mountain to climb the last few hundred meters of elevation on a steep ascent to the summit. Pizzo Leone offers a magnificent panorama. You descend along the Urione ridge to Alpe di Naccio and continue making a large loop from Pozzuolo to Porera. In Pozzuolo, there is a small church. You descend zigzagging towards the lake, near Ronco sopra Ascona, where you can take the bus.
