Brissago-Mergugno

From Brissago, you reach Mergugno in just a few kilometres. However, the average gradient of 11% is an attractive challenge for every climber or lover of steep ascents. At the beginning of the tour, you ride through the pretty town of Brissago, always with a view of Lake Maggiore. Once you have left the last houses behind you, you enter the forest, where the road is a little irregular in places, but always well passable. The section from km 3 to 5 is particularly steep. Out of the forest, the road passes beautiful pastures and idyllic groups of houses. In Mergugno, the view compensates for all the effort, with a beautiful panorama of the lake and the mountains surrounding it.
