From Locarno across the Magadino plain to the other side of the lake in Gambarogno. Along Lake Maggiore over the border to Luino, where the first major climb follows. In Lugano you cycle along the lake to the famous Parco Civico Villa Ciani. Leave the city centre (approx. km 63) and the climb towards Ponte Capriasca and Monte Ceneri begins. Once you reach Monte Ceneri, you descend to Cadenazzo. In Quartino, turn off in the direction of Locarno, and via Tenero you will again reach the starting point on Lake Maggiore.
