Valle OnsernonePhoto: Ascona-Locarno Tourism
A bike route in the wildest valley of the region, where time seems to have stopped and bustle is out of place.
The Onsernone Valley lives on its irresistible charm, wild nature, multiple traditions, and a look back at a time when life was not always easy. Rich in curves (a total of 300!), the Onsernone Valley climbs high up to Spruga. Along these 21 km, there are plenty of opportunities to stop for a break: the Cavigliano wine press (17th century wine press), the Onsernonese Museum in Loco, the straw working workshop "Pagliarte" in Berzona, or the village of Comologno. This route is also very popular among road cyclists. There are restaurants along the road. Returning along the same road leads back to Verscio.
