A beautiful cycling path leads from Tenero across the Magadino plain to Cugnasco. The Magadino plain is the vegetable garden of Ticino. After six kilometres of flat cycling, the climb to the Monti di Motti begins in Cugnasco. Up to km 10, the climb is winding and always steep with a gradient of 7-10%. At km 11 it flattens out briefly before climbing steeply again to the Monti di Ditto. A large part of the route runs in the shade of the forest, ideal for hot summer days. From km 15 onwards, it is definitely less steep and you can take a breath for the last 4 kilometres or so. During the tour there are always beautiful views of Lake Maggiore and the Magadino plain. In Monti di Motti there is a grotto for a stop. There is also a small lake surrounded by benches to rest for a moment from the long climb.

Average gradient from Cugnasco: 7.2 %

    Ascent from Cugnasco: 11.55 km

    Altitude difference from Cugnasco: +833 m/- 110 m
