The Verzasca Valley is undoubtedly one of the most famous valleys in Ticino. There is much to discover in the 25 km that separate Gordola and Sonogno.
The initial part of the route is dedicated to the impressive Vogorno dam, the arched bridge in Lavertezzo better known as the "Ponte dei Salti", the emerald green Verzasca river and the picturesque village of Sonogno, with its museum and the Wool House. The road is dotted with restaurants where you can enjoy typical local dishes; for those who wish, it is also possible to take a refreshing dip in the river. It is also possible to take the bus to Sonogno and enjoy the descent or vice versa. Please note that the Verzasca Valley is very busy in summer.
Attention: due to the high number of tunnels, lights on are mandatory for all bicycles in the Verzasca Valley!
