Terms and conditions for competitions & prize draws by Ascona-Locarno Tourism

Scope and Organiser
These terms and conditions apply to all competitions, prize draws and giveaways organised by Ascona-Locarno Tourism (hereinafter referred to as “the Organiser”), regardless of whether they take place via the website, social media or other digital channels. By participating, entrants fully acknowledge these terms and conditions.

Eligibility
Only natural persons aged 18 or over are eligible to participate. Entrants are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all submitted data. Incorrect or incomplete information may result in forfeiture of the prize.

Employees and partners of the Organiser, all persons involved in planning, executing and managing the competition, as well as their family members, are excluded from participation.

Participation & Procedure
Participation is free of charge and not linked to the purchase of goods or services. However, internet access and – for social media competitions – a valid account on the respective platform are required.
Using multiple profiles or entering more than once to increase chances of winning is prohibited. The Organiser accepts no liability for technical issues or any other kind of problem.

These promotions are in no way connected to Instagram, Facebook or other third-party platforms and are neither sponsored, supported nor organised by them. All data provided during participation will be transmitted exclusively to the Organiser. Questions, comments and complaints must be addressed directly to the Organiser.

Winner selection and notification
The competition is published on the Organiser's page. For each competition, one winner will be drawn at random from all valid entries.

The winner will be notified within the timeframe communicated for the respective competition.
In certain cases, the Organiser may require the prize to be explicitly confirmed within a defined period (e.g., 3–7 days). Failure to respond within this period entitles the Organiser to re-award the prize.
In other cases, the Organiser may send the prize directly without confirmation – depending on the nature and process of the competition. This rule is intended to provide flexibility and applies regardless of the channel.

Prizes, redemption and substitution
The type and scope of each prize will be clearly described in the competition.

If the prize involves a stay, booking is the responsibility of the winner. The Organiser does not guarantee availability for preferred dates.

Should a prize not be available for reasons attributable to the Organiser or for valid reasons, the Organiser reserves the right to offer an equivalent substitute.

Cash payment, exchange or transfer of the prize is excluded.
Any tax obligations related to the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.

Data protection
The Privacy Policy dated 15.10.2025 applies, particularly the section “Online competitions and prize draws “, which defines the processing of personal data in the context of competitions.

Final provisions
In the event of a breach of the terms of participation or any attempt to manipulate the competition, the Organiser reserves the right to exclude the offenders from the competition. In such cases, any prize will be cancelled and its return requested.
The applicable law is that of the Swiss Confederation. All legal recourse is excluded.
