A Story – Italian-speaking Switzerland in the RSI Archival Photographs
is a six stop travelling exhibition that tells the story of Italian speaking Switzerland through archival images, from the 1960s to the 2000s.

The archives of RSI Radiotelevisione svizzera preserve images of countless encounters between RSI and the people of Italian-speaking Switzerland. They are photographs taken during broadcasts, events, reports, concerts and TV dramas.
These iconic images portray the story of a region that changes over time while remaining true to itself — a place in which this company sees its reflection and recognizes its identity. A place that, with care, we have been trying to tell for almost a century.

The public is invited to visit the travelling exhibition Una Storia – Italian-speaking Switzerland in the RSI Archival Photographs, which will move each week to a different location in our region.

From Monday 9 to Sunday 15 February 2026 (Mon–Fri 11:00–17:00; Sat–Sun 14:00–17:00), the exhibition will be in Locarno (foyer PalaCinema).

The opening event will take place on Tuesday 10 February, from 18:30.

The event is free of charge.

Advance reservation for the opening is recommended at https://una-storia-locarno-2026.evento.rsi.ch/#rsvp
