Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder has long been associated only with childhood. In reality, it persists throughout life. Its diagnosis in older adults is therefore often overlooked. Difficulties in managing daily life, including memory problems, disorganisation, impulsivity and difficulty maintaining attention, can thus be mistakenly attributed to depression, anxiety or the normal cognitive ageing process. The meeting aims to raise awareness of this disorder and how to treat it.
With Michele Mattia and Roberto Pagani, psychiatrists and psychotherapists; Ornella Monti and Dunja Torroni, President and Vice-President of ACASI.
In collaboration with ACASI - Association of ADHD Coaches of Italian-speaking Switzerland.
