Bernadette Peter and Othmar Peter

Brissago

From to

At Galleria Amici dell’Arte in Brissago, an exhibition brings together Bernadette Peter’s sculptural female figures and Othmar Peter’s landscape paintings.

About the exhibition

This exhibition brings together two artistic positions with different approaches to form and perception.

Bernadette Peter works primarily with clay and creates female figures. From the material emerge characters with their own presence, suggesting stories, moods and quiet encounters.

Othmar Peter presents landscape paintings centred on light, shadow and the observation of nature. His thematic series explore moorlands, clouds, water and sunlit southern landscapes.

Highlights

  • Clay sculptures with poetic and expressive figures
  • Landscape painting focused on light, shadow and atmospheric density
  • A dialogue between two distinct artistic practices within one exhibition

Focus

Bernadette Peter places the human figure at the centre of her work. Her sculptures combine expression, imagination and narrative depth.

In Othmar Peter’s paintings, colour, structure and layered technique shape the final effect. Shadow is treated not simply as the absence of light, but as an active visual element in its own right.
