Fondazione Ghisla Art Collection in Locarno presents the exhibition “Promenade. La misura del circostante” together with the 2026 selection from its permanent collection.
Fondazione Ghisla Art Collection dedicates its second temporary exhibition of 2026 to artist Elisabeth Scherffig. “Promenade. La misura del circostante” retraces around fifty years of her artistic research, focusing on the relationship between architecture and nature, construction and transformation, memory and the present.
The exhibition brings together works in which building sites, ruins, quarries, stones, vegetation and landscapes become subjects of observation. Drawing is central to her practice, alongside photography, sculpture and installation.
At the same time, the museum’s top floor presents the Scelta 2026 from the Ghisla Collection. The display includes 34 works by artists who decisively shaped the last eighty years of international art history, including Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, René Magritte, Joan Miró, Pablo Picasso and Lucio Fontana.
