After the success of previous years, the Municipalities of the Lago Maggiore and Valleys, with the support of the Locarno Film Festival, offer the population a traveling openair cinema event, bringing the films that have marked the history of the Festival to seven places in the region. From mid-June until end of July, the public will therefore have the opportunity to feel the experience of Piazza Grande in many evocative squares and locations of the Lago Maggiore and Valleys.
The following screening will start at 9.15 pm, after a short presentation of the project and the Locarno Film Festival:

The selection of films is curated by the Artistic Director of the Locarno Film Festival, Giona A. Nazzaro, who offers the population seven exciting titles linked to famous cinema personalities who have been honored during past editions of the Locarno Film Festival.
The films are shown in the original language and subtitled in Italian or French (Vira), in order to make the experience accessible to the public in the region.
During all the evenings, a person will be selected from the audience who will receive a general pass, kindly offered by the Locarno Film Festival, to attend the next edition of the Locarno Film Festival. There will also be competitions with day passes to the Festival as prizes on the social channels of the event and on Radio Ticino.
