Luca Albrecht “Just colors, what else?”

Brissago

From to

LA stands for Luca Andrea Albrecht, born on March 13, 1951, and raised in Zurich. His mother, a native of Locarno, and his father, a true-blue Zurich native, ensured a carefree and wonderful family life. After studying law at the University of Zurich, LA entered the world of finance, where he spent over 30 years in leading positions and crowned his career as a partner in a private bank.
His creative “eruptions” manifested themselves early on in the form of poems. These were compositions of words, fantasies, and nostalgia. Let's call them Mediterranean dreams. “Nato sotto il segno die pesci” and “Sulla cresta dell'onda” were two volumes of poetry published in the 1990s. From words to colors and shapes. More and more, the desire arose to make these fantasies and distant horizons visually tangible. Brushes, sponges, spatulas, acrylic paints, sand, and rust began to run wild on the canvases. And once again, it is Mediterranean visions, sea horizons, grasses, mountains, Lake Maggiore, and the endless play of colors. Depending on the mood and whim.
“Just colors, what else?” is the title of the current exhibition in the beautiful Palazzo Branca Baccalà in Brissago.
LA has been living with his wife Cornelia in the idyllic village of Ascona for over 15 years. It is thanks to Cornelia's motivation and her network of contacts that this exhibition has come about. Cornelia has also been a constant source of inspiration to keep going and try new things.
A book will also be published to accompany this art exhibition, naturally entitled “Just colors, what else?”.
