Symphonic concert: a journey through elegance and passion

Orchestra Arcadia, under the direction of Maestro Piotr Nikiforoff, presents a radiant symphonic concert that masterfully intertwines tradition and virtuosity. The programme commences with the graceful Overture in C major by Fanny Hensel-Mendelssohn-a melodic gem that offers a vivid testament to her artistry and invites a renewed appreciation of her unique musical voice.
The programme continues with Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco’s evocative Guitar Concerto, performed by celebrated guitarist Stefano Moccetti, whose artistry conjures lyricism and Mediterranean colour in equal measure.
The concert reaches its apotheosis with Robert Schumann’s Symphony No. 3 in E-flat major (“Rhenish”), a vibrant musical tableau that pays homage to the landscapes of the Rhine through Schumann’s rich and impassioned orchestral writing.
