You could also call it the bridge tour, this historically interesting hike that leads from Auressio in the Onsernone Valley to Cavigliano in the Centovalli.

Auressio is situated in the lower part of the Onsernone Valley and is reachable by car or bus. There is an Info Point in Auressio and it is worth visiting the church of Sant'Antonio Abate, built in the Middle Ages. The tour runs below today's road on the old mule track, which leads from stone bridge to stone bridge. It is very impressive to see how people used to build with the simplest of tools. It is almost like travelling back in time. Up to Cresmino, the path is quite flat. Every now and then, a bend opens a glimpse of the road above. In Cresmino, cross the main road and take the steep zigzag up to Gerbi on the other side of the road. From the Nebbio Sotto alpine pasture, the route descends quickly to Cavigliano, where the Centovalli Railway (Locarno-Domodossola) and the Valle Onsernone bus depart.
