Brione sopra Minusio-A Lég-Brione sopra Minusio

The bus runs to Brione s. Minusio (church), where the tour begins. Brione is a popular residential area above Locarno, renowned above all for its views. The route leads between the houses and climbs to the start of the white-red-white marked trail towards Contra. You soon reach the “Capèla Rota”, an unfinished chapel. A little further on, cross the small stream on the arched bridge “El Ponte del Sipp”. Following the Sentiero Verzasca (SwitzerlandMobility No. 74), the trail climbs via Resa di dentro up to A Lég (Monti di Lego). A Lég (Monti di Lego) is a little paradise where you can enjoy peace, views and nature. The small church, the pond and the Grotto Monti di Lego (open from April to October) make this a very special destination. The route descends steeply to Contra and returns along an easy hiking trail to Tendrasca, then follows the ascent route back down to Brione s. Minusio, where the bus departs.
