This approximately 8-hour tour begins in Campo Vallemaggia (accessible by car or bus) and leads to two idyllically situated mountain lakes. Initially on asphalt, then along a forested hiking trail (red-white markers) down to Pianelli, where a bridge crosses the river. The ascent to Alpe di Sfii begins from here, which is occupied by cows in the summer. The golden glow of the larches is especially enchanting in autumn. After a short descent, the path climbs up to Lago di Sfii, picturesquely nestled in a green hollow with crystal-clear water. The journey continues on a blue-white marked trail over alpine terrain to Cima del Lago, just below which lies the small Larghetto alto del Pèzz. Following a scenic descent, one reaches Lago del Pèzz. From there, a red-white path leads over Corte del Pèzz and Alpe d’Arnàu through typical Ticino alpine landscape back to Campo. If you prefer, instead of returning to Campo, you can take the path down to Niva at Francia – a beautiful way to end the tour.
