The departure is at Loco, reachable by car or bus. Loco is a small village in the Onsernone Valley clinging to a steep slope. In Loco you can visit the church of San Remigio (the oldest church in the valley), the Onsernonese Museum, and the mill. A mule track leads out of the village, shortly becoming a wider hiking trail. Continuing uphill you reach Sasièl, where the Oratory of the Madonna di Re, built on the rock, is located. The trail continues to Mulegn passing some rustic houses. A very charming alpine pasture offers a splendid panorama. The descent to Auressio crosses several streams, easily crossed thanks to the bridges. The calm of the landscape invites you to enjoy the beauty of nature. From Auressio you can immediately take the bus again or stop to visit the church of Sant’Antonio Abate and drop by the Info Point.
