Flat and easily accessible path, this route invites you to discover the Verzasca Valley during the less crowded season. Walking along the river and among characteristic stone cottages, you can appreciate the tranquility of one of the most beautiful areas of Ticino.
The route runs along the valley floor of the upper part of the valley, beyond the famous two-arch bridge of Lavertezzo.
Close to the road axis, the flow of the Verzasca river creates a unique and refreshing atmosphere. The green waters color the calm and snow-covered landscape. The bare trees let the warm sunlight filter through, inviting you to rest along the path.
The trail is conveniently served by public transport. Starting from the village of Sonogno, you first explore the initial stretch of the Valle Redorta. Then you pass near the skating rink of the valley sports center, before continuing to the village of Frasco.
