From the borders of the sky to the shores of Lake Maggiore.
The MAGGIORE TREKKING sets off along the path that, from the upper Rovana Valley, winds down to the shores of Lake Maggiore. Alternating breathtaking panoramas between the wonderful valleys of the Locarno region, fine natural environments, and precious historical testimonies, this route composed of 4 stages offers the possibility to cross untouched areas, but also to encounter numerous and varied local traditions.
Thanks to the various access possibilities, which can also become possible exit points, it is possible to plan the individual stages between huts according to your own preferences.
The intention of the MAGGIORE TREKKING is not only to follow a purely white/red marked path while enjoying the beauty of the region, but in particular to offer an overview of the peculiarities: restaurants, crafts, local products, and accommodation options, so that the hiker can fully experience the realities of the local area.
Attention: Between the Alpe d'Arena and Salei huts there are herds guarded by protection dogs.
