The route starts by crossing the famous dam from which "007" James Bond jumped 220 meters into the void for the film "GoldenEye." The most daring can try this thrill from April to October. A gentle climb leads to Mergoscia. With Lake Vogorno at your feet and Lake Maggiore behind, the panorama is breathtaking. In Mergoscia there is a bakery (still functioning) and a church (an energetic place).
After crossing a chestnut forest, you arrive at the hamlet Perbiói, where there is a bench offering a fantastic view. Before Corippo, which has only 12 inhabitants, you descend the steps, cross the stone bridge, and go up.
Those who want can take the bus (Locarno-Tenero-Sonogno line) at Corippo, Bivio (approx. 1 km). In an up and down along the river, you reach Lavertezzo, where there is the two-arch bridge "Ponte dei Salti."
Return by bus, Locarno-Tenero-Sonogno line. The route can be done in both directions. There are restaurants in Mergoscia, Corippo and Lavertezzo.
