Varied trail run from Losone to Pizzo Leone. Panoramic views, technical sections, and a relaxed cooldown along the Maggia.
The trail starting in Losone runs through dense forests and quickly climbs up to Corona dei Pinci (1294 m). From there, several kilometers follow along a path on the ridge leading to Pizzo Leone (1616 m). Sometimes overlooking Lake Maggiore, sometimes the Centovalli, the viewpoints are countless.
The descent from Pizzo Leone to Rasa is rather technical and the path is often covered with leaves in autumn. Water points are scarce as you are on a ridge. On the way back you pass the picturesque villages of Corcapolo and Intragna with its imposing church tower.
The last part runs flat along the Maggia river – just right to cool down after the completed 25 km.
