After a short stretch on gravel road in the forest, you reach the main road and cross it near Osteria al Ponte towards Maggia, passing the church of San Maurizio and continuing on the cycle path to Lodano. There is an Infopoint here where you can find information about the Lodano Valley Forest Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On a secondary road, you cross the scenic landscape towards Moghegno, a village rich in cultural treasures such as the grà, used for drying chestnuts in the autumn. Straight ahead, you arrive at Aurigeno. From there, you return along the road below, cross the bridge at Moghegno, and turn right to return to the starting point. Along the way, there are plenty of opportunities for a swim and to take breaks.
