You walk past small villages adorned with pointed church towers and typical stone houses up to Robiei. Afterwards you turn your back on the Bavona Valley and hike up into some barren mountain scenery. Deep blue lakes and sparkling rocks provide the necessary splashes of colour on the hike to the Cristallina Pass. Culinary highlights await you at the top of the pass: a night in the Capanna Cristallina makes you fit for the descent into Val Bedretto. The hike on the Sentiero Cristallina is demanding, but shows Ticino from its most beautiful sides.
