Oratorio della Madonna del Monte (Sant’Anna)

The chapel, also known as Madonna del Monte, is located about ten minutes from Alpe Cedullo. The isolated building bears the date 1654 on its façade, but it was likely built earlier. The fresco inside is attributed to the circle of Antonio da Tradate; it is similar to the one in Fosano and depicts the Madonna breastfeeding with two angels. Saint Anthony, on the right, and Saint Sebastian, on the left, may have been added later. The hermitage located behind the chapel now serves as a mountain refuge.
