Oratorio di S. Maria degli Angeli

Also known as "Loreto," the oratory is located in the hamlet of Fosano and was probably rebuilt in the early 17th century over a pre-existing chapel. In 1852, a school was built above the nave, and the building thus lost its original appearance and proportions. The bell tower in its current form is recent. Inside, the choir is frescoed by a workshop similar to that of Antonio da Tradate, with scenes from the Crucifixion (late 15th century). On the vault, the Evangelists and Fathers of the Church. In the lunette on the southern wall, the Madonna of Loreto, depicted as the Madonna of the Milk; on the opposite side, the Annunciation. At the foot of these paintings, frescoes are almost certainly votive. Other frescoes depict the Madonna, the Prophets, and several saints.
