Vira Gambarogno, with its narrow streets and houses right up next to each other, offers a vivid testimony of the history of Gambarogno.
Considered one of the many pearls of Lake Maggiore, Vira Gambarogno has a picturesque and almost completely intact centre of historical houses and porticoes, as well as a labyrinth of narrow passageways. The façades of the houses also feature frescoes painted in 1970 on the occasion of the “Fresco School” and during the winter a beautiful exhibition of Christmas cribs transforms this village by the lake into an enchanting spot.
