Explanation
The Bolle are home to more than half of Ticino’s populations of kingfisher, little bittern and reed warbler. With the due caution, it is also possible to observe the golden oriole, wild turtledove and scops owl. Between April and June, hearing the call of the green frogs and Perrin’s tree frog is remarkable. The waters are extremely popular with species of fish and populations of pond turtles, crayfish and dice snakes. There are also a number of different species of (sometimes rare) dragonflies.
