The adventure already starts with the journey! Take the Centovalli Railway (Locarno-Domodossola) to Verdasio, then the cable car up to Rasa, the only car-free village in Ticino. On arrival, you can enjoy a cappuccino at the grotto before setting off in the direction of Corona di Pinz. The ascent leads over Monte, where there are individual rustici (traditional stone houses). The trail stretches all the way to Corona di Pinz. But the path runs through a beautiful beech forest that provides wonderful shade in summer. Once at the top, a fantastic panorama opens up over Lake Maggiore and the surrounding region. Up to Costa, the descent is fairly steady. Then it zigzags steeply down to Carbozzèi, on the Roman bridge over the Melezza river and on to Intragna where the Centovalli Railway runs. Intragna has the highest bell tower in Ticino (65 m) and the Regional Museum of Centovalli and Pedemonte.
