Take the Centovallina to Camedo, the starting point of this "historic" hike along what was once an important transport route for the valley farmers. After a few minutes, you reach the Borgnone mill park. Further on, in Lionza, you can see the Palazzo Tondü, which tells the social rise of the family of the same name (however, the interiors cannot be visited). After an easy route with a series of ascents and descents through the woods, you reach Verdasio. The path leading to Costa crosses a very varied landscape. In Costa, near the cable car, you can rest at Grottino Costa Funivia. The descent towards Pila and Intragna can also be done by cable car (runs from March to November). In Intragna, you’ll find the tallest bell tower in Ticino (65 m) and the Regional Museum of Centovalli and Pedemonte. From Intragna, you can take the Centovallina again.
Attention: the Intragna-Pila-Costa cable car is not in operation until further notice due to renovation work. Information is available on the website www.ascona-locarno.com/funivia-intragna or at our information desks.
